According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, yesterday (February 25), widespread heat occurred in the Eastern region and locally in the Southwest region with the highest temperature in the Eastern region. from 35 - 37 degrees Celsius.
It is forecasted that hot weather will continue to occur on a large scale today, with severe heat in some places in the Eastern provinces and expanding in the Western provinces. The hot time of the day is from 12:00 to 16:00. Particularly on February 27, the heat will decrease slightly.
In Ho Chi Minh City, today (February 26), heat will continue to occur on a large scale with the highest temperature ranging from 35 - 36 degrees Celsius. Tomorrow (February 27), the heat will temporarily subside.
It is forecasted that in the next 3 - 5 days, heat will tend to increase again.

“Hot weather combined with a high ultraviolet (UV) index affects people's health when participating in outdoor activities for extended periods of time. Along with that, the humidity in the air is low, the weather is dry, it is necessary to prevent fires and explosions" - the Southern Hydrometeorological Station recommended.
Strong winds, big waves at sea
Currently, in the sea from Ba Ria - Vung Tau to Ca Mau, there is a Northeast wind operating with medium - strong intensity and at level 5 - 6, with gusts of level 6 - 7, with high waves from 1.8 - 2 ,6m. The sea was mild to rough. The sea area from Ca Mau - Kien Giang has strong winds of level 4 - 5; Waves are 0.7 - 1.2m high.
The Southern Hydrometeorological Station predicts that in the next 24 - 48 hours, the Northeast wind in the waters of Ba Ria Vung Tau - Ca Mau will continue to operate with strong intensity, at level 5 - 6, with gusts at level 6 - 7. Waves are 1.6 - 2.3m high. The sea was mild to rough.
"The level of natural disaster risk due to strong winds in the waters of Ba Ria Vung Tau - Ca Mau is at level 2. Strong winds and large waves pose a danger to ships and boats in these waters" - Southern Hydrometeorological Station said.
